If you wouldnt mind lending them to me for a bit, I will pay your postage to send them to me and return them with some folding money for your troubles ;)

Would be really chuffed if someone would do this for me and help me out.

Much appreciated in advance :D

No worries my man...... I'd lend you mine, but they're in the bus!!!!

If you need any measurements, let me know.

BTW, My '71 came with a homemade version. There was simply a piece of (I think) 50mm angle bolted to the driver's side with the moved seat base catch on, and a length of flat bar where the front bracket goes. A little crude, but it worked. As long as you get the seat catch in the right place, it's quite simple to make the fitments up.

Cheers Fella 8) I am looking for a exact copy or one that looks the part to ;)

Anyone know of one :?:

Cheers Araon 8) he is already on the case for me ;)

Easy - you planning on getting some repro brackets made??????????
If so get a price as i'm sure theres going to be a call for it.
I've got someone on the case to get me both the seat and the brackets (?) or at least brackets that will work / fit, will update if and when it happens, just awaiting a phone call ;) ;)

Jason - Measurements would be good just incase my contact fails

Maybe, maybe not. Just need to borrow some for a bit 8)

PPPllllllllllleeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaassssssssssseeeeeeeeeeee help!

Could the bluebird brackets be adjusted to take a bench seat?
hhhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, thats got me thinking now..................

also are splitscreen seats the same size as EB's? Seen a few adverts for 1/3 + 2/3 seat covers on ebay for splits but not sure on actual seat dimensions, can anyone shed any light?

Yeah anyone, i've just taken delivery of a set of 1/3 2/3 seats (pics to follow) and need these bracket dimensions to enable fitment

If anyone wants to have a look at mine, I'm at the Brighton Breeze this weekend. Just give me a bell and have a gander

Any pictures of the homemade version, its taken me long enough to find the seats and when the breakers say the brackets are hens teeth then who am i to disagree, so its going to have to be a home made bodge

Long since gone my friend, only the real one at the top of the thread now!

Quite easy to work out though. Simply remove passenger seat, unbolt inner seat bracket, offer up bench seat and you'll see where to need to move the inner seat bracket to. Get a piece of suitably sized angle-iron. On the passenger side, cut the back off the angle (making a flat-bar end) so it bolts down to the holes where the bracket was originally. On the other end, you'll need to weld a flat end onto the angle so it will bolt through the holes on the side-wall of the drivers seat base (Otherwise it would foul the driver's seat toothed rack)

Have a look at how it bolts down on my website and it should be fairly simple.

Poster on the Samba thinks he may still have some of the brackets:
