Hi,

I've just listed my 1972 Camper on here, it needs a bit a little bit of work to finish the interior but all the hard work has been done and its taxed and moted.

Regards

Andrew Smith

Hi Andrew I was going to contact you as I have also seen your van on Ebay, will you be around during the day on Wednesday for a viewing?

Cheers
Karl

Hi Karl,

I have a meeting in Worcester at 2pm but I could be available between 12noon-1pm if that's convenient?

Please give me a ring on 07967 485445 to discuss.

Regards

Andrew

Hi Andrew

Just tried to call you but no connection which can be an issue in the area I live. Sorry can't make tomorrow I have had my holidays cancelled at work. Message me on here if you sell before the weekend.

Hi ,
I've had my early bay up for sale for a while now and could really do with getting it gone. I'd got it up for sale at £13200 but would take £10500 for it at a push. Rich. theres another 20 pics if you click on the picture.[photobucket] [/photobucket]

Hi,
'Leela' is my almost completely original 1972 ‘crossover’ Dormobile which is road tax free and has the added benefit of an LPG conversion!
Bought her in 2010, I had various bodywork and other repairs done to pass the MOT. She is in great useable condition. If you send me your email address I can send you a timeline of everything done to the van since last owner bought her in 2005. (I can't do it here!). I was given all MOT's receipts etc from then which confirm it all.
My e-mail address is:garylynda83 AT gmail.com
A few minor jobs here and there are all that is needed and only an MOT & LPG test are required to get her on -the-road and rolling, which is still our plan to do this year. Family issues prevented us from using her last year. She is started up periodically even though currently SORN'ed.
We are not desperate to sell 'Leela' but it is highly unlikely we will not be using her for what she is built to do... go camping! We need more seats now so I am now considering changing to a Type 2 six/seven-seater Combi or 'bus' instead.
All the pics & misc. info have been put in my photobucket account - feel free to have a browse and see what you think of her!

A current agreed value (for insurance purposes) of £11000 was made by my insurers. I would consider an offer above that value.
Let me know if you interested or need more info.
Thanks for your interest.
Cheers
Gary

Hi All

Thanks for your replies but I was speaking to a neighbour last night who to my amassment told me he had a 1970 camper which he has owned from new, he starts it once a month its done 55k miles it appears to be solid. The tyres need replacing its not been out of the garage for 15 years which is why I have never seen it so I have bought it. Today and tomorrow I will be spending time recommissioning and MOT on Saturday. :D :D :D

Hey, that's great news BB and hopefully it'll walk through it's MOT... but I'd be prepared and expect the worst though...
I've been there and tasted defeat when I expected success!

I've found and use a 'sympathetic' MOT station that tests old vehicles - all legit and all that but they understand what they're testing.
Know what I mean?
Good Luck!

Great result.

It is good to hear that there is another solid UK RHD bus joining the ranks. Post pics. You might want to contact James at C&B too - he might be interested in a feature (retrojames on here).

Good luck with the MoT. :D
