Hi all

Sure this is simple but can't see how to do it....

Got no lights on my centre console so want to pull the pod out and check the bulb and connections also going to fit a clock.

Found the 4 screws around the edge but what happens with the heather controls? Pulled on them with all my might and they move a bit but i've got no idea if tha's the right plan?

Thanks!

the coloured controls are held onto the metal levers by plastic pegs. These need to be pushed out. i think i did mine by a combination of groping up from underneath and peering though the radio hole in the dash. fortunately fo me my stereo was mounted elsewhere.

there a bitch to remove usually as the plastic retainers degrade with age....

the heater levers are held in by plastic plugs that have a splayed contoured end which push into a receptor and lock in place, almost impossible to reuse. You need to compress the end of the male plug and push it back out of the receptor, easier said than done.... the plugs tend to get a bit mangled....long nose pliers and care should work...

Just do what the p***k of a PO did to mine and cut them off! :x
Long nose pliers, care and a spot of patience works.
Then undo the speedo cable and the unit pulls out.
Disconnect the battery or make sure the connectors on the back don't touch the dash or you'll get some sparks!
