Evening people :) spent a long day up the farm with my bus and I have a couple of questions, hopefully someone can advise :)

I have taken the floor off today and while a lot of it isn't too bad, there is a lot to replace. Where can I get a section along the same levels as the top hat sections or floor supports that goes under the bulk heads? back of the seat bits??

Will try to get pics up of the bit i mean....

also if anyone has gone this far with a rebuild, whats the best way to deal with all the pipes n tubes? Have accidently cut through the gear linkage tube and the accelerater  I am happy to remove the two heater flap pipes cos I'm never going to replace them. Can you get replacement pipes n tubes or shall I make them up out of an old peice of housepipe lol :D

Oh and who restore gear boxes and drive shafts?

Cheers chaps :D

Would be worth a phone call to schofields for your outriggers etc..

You can get CV joints from GSF

With the gearbox I'd suggest ringing round locally to avoid paying "scene tax"
Cogbox will be the most popular suggestion from people within the scene. Think the number is 020 8842 2580

Do you mean this piece at the edge of the floor?

It's sort of half a tophat section, or bend a flat piece of metal to the right profile like we did.

Thanks prof n sparky wig :)

Yes that is the bit I mean only its rotted right the way along, dosn't anyway do a replacement part :(

and anyone got suggestions on what to replace the floor with? seems it only comes in LHD  lol

I bought a repro floor half from VW Heritage, and cut sections to replace the bad bits of floor.
You can get the extra panel to convert to a rhd from Schofield's I think.
But I'm not bothering until I replace the dodgy off-side lower side panel.

that bit is the top hat it runs from one side to the other and the center section and the outriggers /jacking points sit under it the dogie bit is the bit where the heater channel is Ive cut mine out at the jacking point and im in the process of trying to put it back now but all the main suppliers do top hat sections no more than a score if that.Frankie
