Hey peeps,
I had my MOT recently and was advised that the previous chassis welding that had been done (tacked and not seam welded) was crap and that I should get it redone. I have no problem with this but can't afford to get it done till next year. Now, not having welded before my question is thus -
When welding on the chassis, do you have to strip out carpets, flooring, general stuff in the cargo area so they don't catch fire ? Or is the heating so localised and quick (gassed mig welding) that I can leave it all in - Only cause I was planning to install all this early in the new year and was not gonna get the welding done till the spring/summer.
Cheers for your thoughts all
