what I did was bought another gauge cluster to hack on, had to cut off the plastic that held the old gauge housings on the rear, then inlarged the holes to fit..then a bit of black silicone held them in place....other than that they hook up and work the same even the gas gauge..

Sounds interesting - might look into that once the van is on the road!
 
the one thing I still would like to do is...make a shift light out of the red lense on the top of the left gauge...(I'm guessing it was for a brake light)...now that would be cool...oh and looking closer at the picture it looks like the speedo lens is cracked...it's not hum weird, oh and the silver round knob betwen the tach and speedo is the odometer reset cable....
