Hi All

Just had a really interesting trip to Stanford Hall, but some issues with the clutch I think, when I press the accelerator the revs increase nicely but the power is very slow to apply, I can get up to speed of I take it slow but if I put my foot down its revs and slowly accelerates, it didn't do this until today so is it likely that its the clutch? And if it is the clutch doI need to tighten it up or looses it off, and is it clockwise or anti clockwise?
Thanks

Sean

Sounds very much like the clutch has started to slip, if so then its engine out and either a new friction plate or a complete clutch.
You might be able to adjust it on the cable to take out some of the play but you really should be looking to replace the clutch

Check the haynes or vw-resource for adjustment. I would try this first. Then if no change engine out and clutch change. Simples
