i am just starting my first winter as a camper owner. My bus is stored outside as i have no access to covered storage. Over the past few days when the temp dropped below zero , condensation has formed on the four windows in the dormobile roof, then dropped on to the laminate table and ruined it.Hopefully i have discovered it in time.
Does anyone have any tips for reducing condensation ..........or do i need to strip out the insde /cover it all during winter. A neighbour has suggested an electric greenhouse heater on a night timer.

Moisture traps available from most DIY stores. Most caravaners use them over the winter.

Do you have a cover on it? If not I would recomend a good quality breathable cover and crack the windows slightly to provide ventilation through the bus.

Large bowls of salt do the trick. When its saturated dry out by putting it in a warm oven then use again. If you use some sort of dehumidifyer like salt dont leave windows open because youll just draw in more moisture. If using a heater then leave window open for circulation

Sorry I'm not used to these major climatic swings yet. I was under the impression that leaving the windows open slightly was good for ventilation. I did this in the caravan last year and it seems to work well.

I don't have any moisture traps in my bus. Should I have the windows closed tight then?

This is my first winter as a camper owner too. I've just put her away for the winter and put two big bowls of rice inside. one in the cab and the other in the rear. I left the windows closed.
