Big thanks to Kinky Mick for the adapters and porsche caps  , superfast service and so well wrapped it took me 5 mins to open the damn parcel  ...well recommended

well.... got the adapters need the bolts now.

the adapters are 18mm, my questions are...

a) what size nut do i need to attach the spacer to the hub? can i use the existing vw ones or are they too deep for cookie cutters??

b) what length of stud do i need on the bolt to attach the wheel to the adapter?

advice from anyone with cookie cutters is appreciated.

I used the standard VW studs and nuts to fit my 20mm adapters (from Butty) and 40mm studs from M7 to fit the wheels.

At 18mm your adaptors a bit thinner than usual (lucky you, they'll tuck in a bit more!) - I'd take your stock VW bolts to your local friendly machine shop and get them machined down so they don't protrude at all; they should still be safe, but make sure you can still get your wheelbrace on them!!

You should be able to use standard 944 bolts to hold your CC's on (they should have a rounded shoulder) - these are available cheaply on eBay or from someone like this (I think I paid about £12 for 20 bolts):

Again, there's a small chance that you'll need to cut them off depending on how far they go into your adaptors so 'suck it and see'!

The only problem I've come across with mine is finding locking 944 wheel nuts - there aren't too many around these days!

Let us know how you get on...

;)
