Can anyone recommend a decent one? I'm not after an electric one just one that stays cold.
It's nice to have a vintage one but it's probably cooler under my armpit the my coolbox.

When we ran the pop top kitchen we used the Coleman xtreme cool boxes which would hold our stock at the correct temperature from Friday morning until Sunday night and the bottles we used as ice blocks would still be part frozen. They aren't cheap but work extremely well

We have one very similar to this

http://www.worldofcamping.co.uk/dometic-combicool-rc-2200-egp-3-way-portable-absorption-camping-fridge-4017

Works amazingly, we load up and pre chill on household 240v, travel to campsite on 12v and hook up to gas when camping.
Is easily capable of freezing a case of beer solid and it can hold loads - not cheap but works and cant see us needing another one for years and years

Igloo for us - survived nearly a week at glasto also with frozen stuff still remaining at the end of it. The trick with a lot of cool boxes though is to put as much frozen stuff in as possible and avoid putting warm stuff in to get cold. We freeze our milk and water bottles pre-camping and just get anything out in advance of needing it defrosted.

Cheers Stu, looks good but i have an electrolux fridge in the bus and was looking for non powered.
They are expensive really for a plastic box aren't they?

2 litre pop bottles full of frozen water are better than freezer packs too. And once they melt you have extra drinking water.

I bought one of these a few years ago http://www.jacksons-camping.co.uk/waeco/compressor-coolers.htm bloody expensive but can last up to 10 days on a 12v LB. proper quality but comes at a price, depends how much you valve cold beer....

This is the one that i have and i will never look back. DOMETIC RC1205G 12 VOLT MAINS GAS CARTRIDGE CAMPING FRIDGE CARAVAN COOL BOX

http://www.jacksonsleisure.com/caravan-motorhome/cool-boxes/camping-fridge/dometic-combicool-rc1205gc-gas-cartridge-cradle-3-way-cooler/

It runs off 12v or you an hook it up to mains, but best of all it also take the small disposable gas cylinders! It uses about 1 every 24 hours and you can make ice in it for your gin! cant reccomend it enough!

This looks ideal as i don't carry a big gas bottle, thanks for sharing Easy. Time to check the bank account...

No probs dood, its the best fridge, okay its not the cheapest, but if a gas can costs around 80p and last you for 24 hours, your laughing! plus you can have cold cider where ever you go, just be careful with the settings as it can get sooo cold it will freeze anything in there!

I loves it me lol

I'm going for an igloo from costco. I went yesterday but no stock which was lucky as due to be a new member I got a £20 to use online.
