I've modified my rear tinware with a trick I've seen to avoid the metal fuel pipe rubbing using a brass lamp fitting and filling this with sealant and the pipe passing through the middle. Before I go chopping up the pipe and sealing it in I want to see what the correct fuel pipe routing should be as I know all about the horrors of excessive weight pulling out the brass fittings on the pump/carb. Has anyone got a decent pic of the correct routing as VW intended? I've tried Google images but its not easy to see the full route and where the hose is secured to stop it moving.
Is there any reason I shouldn't add fixing points to keep the hose from movement?
