You can't beat a good double cab.

When looking there went many early bay ones around so I had to make do with this

I sandblasted, treated the metal with ospho, then sprayed a self etching primer and a couple of coats of high build primer.
I need to fix a few spots and I'm ready to spray the color matched bed liner!

After that I'm on to the fixing the drop gates. :D

The bed looks spot on now 8)

(question - how the hell do you get a rusty bed in Florida - thought you never suffer from the stuff over there  )

About the rust, it wasn't that bad yet
there is rain, salt air, and abuse from using the truck to haul stuff. and it's 42 years old!
At one time in it's life someone mounted a 5th wheel hitch in the bed and debris collected under the plate caused some rust issues. I wanted to take care of the rust gefore it gets to bad and starts requiring rerplacement panels

BTW the hitch was just for show (I hope)
I can't find the pic of the hitch installed

Well I got buisy and finished the bed this afternoon
