So in conclusion, and sorry for wandering off topic, model year 72 wk 44 could be a year younger than model year 72 wk 45 (not checked the dates but just using as an example).

Yep, August is around week 32ish.

So a '72 model in week 32 would be in 1972 but 33 in 1971.
