I am fitting my CPS shifter and have hit a snag. The ball on the shifter doesn't meet the cup on the front shift rod (the ball needs to be down an inch or so more). The rod hasn't been touched, nor has the pin that is attached to the chassis which the rod slides in to. I've tried the shifter without the locking plate just to see but it doesn't fit either. The original works fine.

Looking at the CSP site all of the Bus shifters are for 68 - 79, the packaging (CSP stamps and the JK label) all say 68-79 RHD. So either I am doing something wrong, or they sent the wrong product in the box?

I did a search and all I kept finding was how easy it was to fit, so maybe I set a record here as being the first person to struggle

Any one had this or any ideas?

I would be interested in finding out how you get on with this as I also got one fro JK bout a month ago but havent fitted it yet

Coopster - or anyone who has one who hasn't fitted it yet. Could you take a measurement of the base of the shifter to the bottom of the ball please? Just to check back to mine. Failing that I will have to return it to them for them to investigate on one of their busses.

Ta!
