Hi everyone, need some advice please. I was traveling to a show when I suddenly lost power, the bus would still tick over though. I tried to set off but it died. Left it for a few minutes and off I go again?? This happened several times.

I've changed the fuel pump and checked all connections.
New spark plugs, ht leads. Points look fine along with rotar arm and dizzy cap.

Any advice please. Take care...

Although you have changed the fuel pump, have you checked that it`s delivering at an acceptable level ? It may not have been the pump although it does sound like it, it may be the pump push rod etc etc, it may be a blockage that is stopping the pump delivering fuel to the carb. Take the fuel pipe off the carb and pop it into a plastic waterbottle of approx 1.5L and make sure the jet of fuel is bouncing off the end of the bottle when held sideways. Then you can rule out fuel supply to the carb.

Thank you all, I'll change the fuel filter then rebuild the carb. I'll also check the fuel supply.

If you check the fuel supply first, it may eliminate some of the likely suspects, as in you`ll know where to concentrate your efforts as in pre fuel pump or post fuel pump

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,,,I hope that makes sense
