Just cycled to work twice this week, road bike. only 12 mile round trip and i work the afternoon shift so no traffic on the way home.
But only have those flashing frog lights, been looking....when did cycle lights become so expensive, any cheep recommendations? most of my ride home is non lit country roads

Maybe see if you can pick up a second hand one23 1000 lumens, this is what I have and it's great but as you ha e mentions new its pricy at £80

Cheers, we did have some fun, it's a bit different now I think , when I look at the price of top quality kit now it's scary.
It's a great view I don't always appreciate it until some one else mentions it and I look at it again and realise how lucky we are to live in beautiful mid Wales

I can only really comment on what I have as I have only just hot into cycling.
My brother I law runs a bike shop in Cornwall so fixed me up with the bike and kit, he said that the one23 was a very good light so I took his advice.

Perhaps Clem or another regular cyclist can comment.

A guy on VZI bought a set of Chinese lights on eBay and they fell apart a bit quick I recall.

I had a set of Cateye rechargeable hi power lights a few years back for night time MTB riding :D they were very good. Now I just have a Cateye pulse light as I need to be seen more than to actually see, again Cateye and great for under £20.

I'll ask my wife when she comes in from work, I think it's called Bike Chain.

Ok slightly wrong it called cycle logic and its in helston, ask for Jonathan Dominguez he knows his stuff.

No worries I can't guarantee a discount but say I sent you and you never know.

I did, until some scummer stole my Hybrid & Hardtail MTB... :x
They left my misus sit up & beg though..
Now in the insurance loop of death....

Hey ho, at least it's not still summer..

I just read that trials rider Martyn Ashton has crashed badly and has 'life changing' spinal injuries :(

Poor guy. :(

Just treated my self to my first full suss after five years of hardtail, an orange 5 pro 650b, it rolls really well. Haven't put it through it's paces yet though. Doing the off road London to Brighton next week...hope i make it as it's a long way but not too much ascent so should be ok. Hoping for a dry week next week though.. :?

Yes, this is really awful news, I saw it last week on Facebook.

Martyn is a genuine all round top bloke & someone who I have known for many years & it is difficult to see this.

This is the second life changing accident to colleagues in the industry the year, Michael Bonney from Orange suffered a similar, albeit much higher up spinal injury earlier this year http://orangebikes.co.uk/news/view/michael_bonney_wedding

There is a sportive fundraiser on the road local toMichael later this month http://www.epicevents.co.uk/cycle-s...ycle-sportive-sunday-september-29th-2013.html

It kind of makes you realise how we all take so much for granted & how fragile your body is.
