I haven't been out much over the last 12 months, as my waistband will testify. When I clear the garage slightly the turbo will be put to use again.
My Grandfather's 1960 Reynolds with a few 1980s upgrades.

I'm another member of the Zaskar club, my one owner 1996/7 LE.

And my current ride.

Cheers Clem

Can you also recommend a good turbo?

Where are you using it? If noise isn't an issue then a cheaper option is possible. The quiet ones are dearest ... mines a fan resistance one but in the garage it's fine. I hate it

This is mine and its old like me

Least it won't dent if I drop it, it will be around a long after I'm gone.

Amazing how bike designs have changed over the years. The seat tube angle on that is so relaxed, but the head tube is near vertical, I bet the steering is super quick on that.

We take our own, but there are quite a few hire places in & around Puerto Pollensa now, there are a couple of really large ones in Alcudia, I will try to remember to pick up some details next week.

To the people who know,

I currently have a nice Giant mountain bike but am keen to get a decent road bike.

I am looking at the following;

Felt F85
Mekk Poggio
Specialised Allez elite
Giant Defy 1

Am I looking at decent bikes or can anyone give me some pointers?

Cheers as I am buying blind!

Good options there. The Mekk's are good value but you need to ride them to compare. I had my heart set on a Bianchi but just didn;t like the feel. One of the cycling mags (Cycling Plus?) has a good group test this month of entry level carbon bikes. I have a Cube Agree GTC with 105 groupset and very pleased with it.
