Yes, the one you have is from a late bay.

I'll keep my eyes peeled for you. I do see them come up very occasionally. :)

I have a spare Danbury 1972 brochure for sale if anyone is interested?

Here is a link to a Toyota Danbury (1970s) on ebay. Some may not know that Danbury did other makes too, so I thought you'd be interested to see this one. :D

What's this! A Danbury thread that i haven't posted in

I have scanned the late bay and T25 brochures just need to load them so i can put them on the wiki site.

We are up in Farnborough. I saw a Danbury in Sydenham (south london) yesterday so i stuck a note on the window about earlybay as it was a crossover. It had the interior but the badge on the back was missing. Also had a westy window fitted like ours.
I was confused by it's towbar. I thought crossovers had a one year only rear bumper bracket design meaning one year only towbars but this one had one of those towbars that fits inside of the rear bumper. It didn't haven't splash pans so i couldn't tell if the bumper lined up properly, maybe it was using earlier brackets!?!

sounds like my rear tow bar....the bumper bolts to it...then there is a little cut out on the bottom of the bumper to allow the ball to curve up.......

......it may be coming off and being replace by a splitty rear bumper with deluxe trim soon

Saw the scan lovely job

I'll have to look at my towbar. I seem to recall there is a bracket or framework further forward that the towbar attaches to.

I've got some brochures I've been meaning to put on. I'll check which ones are already on there, and then I'll add mine when I've found them and scanned them! :D

I've not been out in my bus for a week or so, so this arvo I think I'll take her for a little spin across the New Forest. :D

Hi Jason. :D

Yes, I had a nice little run across to Lymington to see a mate on his boat in one of the marinas.
It started both times without me having to crawl underneath to whack the starter-motor too!

Enjoy your spin!

Doug

I used to have problems with my starter motor freezing. Take it out, pull it apart, clean everything, change the bush in the gearbox and re-assemble it, then it should be fine!

It was renewed last year. I don't really have to bash the starter-motor, rather just 'twiddle the connections'.
Cheers anyway. If it still plays up after I've tightened/cleaned the connections, then I'll do what you suggest and take it out and pull it apart. :D

Right, I've just updated the Danbury site with pics of both my bus and also of my parents' bus they had from new, and some history (sadly in the Danbury Heaven section).

Mjknight 71, in the gallery, Mike, I accidently posted a totally non-VW pic (it had the same image code as one of my others), but I have no idea how to delete it.
Also I could do with editing a couple of other ones, which are too big, but again I'm not sure how to do it. Feel free to delete that non-veedub one if you wish. I got the hang of reducing the other photos as I went along. :D

Trying to build up the history sections on the various conversions ..the Danbury section is here, feel free to build up the content...

think there should be plenty of material from owners on here .. !

Hello Jason, I'm definitely still up for a Danbury meet!

I've been meaning to contact Volksworld re seeing if maybe we could get a Danbury line-up at the Volksworld Show, but I've been a bit 'up to my eyes' recently and not got around to it. I'll see if I can email an organizer. I'm not quite sure how it works at that show, but I'll get onto that in the next day or so.
If no joy there, then we'll have to see what else we can do.

Any other ideas are welcome! :D
