Hi, I'm hoping for some guidance as I was planning to refit my dash top at the weekend but seemed to have an odd mixture of speed/p-clips (some in body colour so presumably original). However some of theses clips were too big for the 8 screws (large flat head) which I presume are the correct screws used to fix the dash top. I think the correct speed/p-clips are a size 8 - which none of my local motorfactors/hardware stores have in stock :(

Also, I was hoping to fit the new door mirror fitting (which was bought from c&c), but the original washer/spacer has a different thread pitch!

Cheers,

Mike

Three smaller p-clips and one larger/longer - which the screws are too small and don't 'bite' into.

mostly here, sometimes there
They're not the correct screws and speed washers for the dash, it looks like a previous owner has "modified" the dash mounting flange.

The correct screws are a countersunk raised head self-tapping screw 4.2x13mm.
In your case I'd get some speed washers and screws to fit what you've got from either eBay or a local hardware/fixings supplier.

Personally I'd send the mirror back to C&C and try to get an original one.
