When I turn on my side lights I get the usual green light on the dash, this goes off when I click further. I've never had a blue light for main beam (I know I need to get that sorted).

However this evening when I turned the lights off I still have a green light on the dash?? The lights are definately off.

Have I got a bad connection?

Is this going to flatten my battery in short order?

Help!!

Quick fit would be to unscrew the gauge cluster and remove the offending bulb till you work out the problem.

I don't think a 1.2w buld is going to do much damage to the battery but I could be wrong.

Can anyone suggest a good link to show what I can expect to see when iI remove the gauge cluster?

Should look summit like this .....

wiring.jpg

Or at least mine did

From the last time I was looking at the electrics that looks about right :D

I've got a lunch break at work and a phillips head screwdriver in the glove compartment, I'll have to see what I can do :?

Unless you have hands the size of a pigs bum you should be able to remove and replace dash lights without unscrewing the dash pod. You can reach from underneath, just go carefully so you dont put stress on the wiring.

If the green light stays on the first thing to do is try disconnecting the wire to the light switch itself. If the light then goes out its likely the switch is at fault.

Well the bulb is out now, so at least I don't have to worry about the battery being drained (very, very slowly :) )

Just gonna have to work out why it was happening now, that's a job for the weekend!

the bulb comes of light switch, depends if its been fited correctly, from memory i think later ones come from fuse box?theres a chance its a back feed from somthing if the earth wire on dash ok.
