Im currently running webber 34 ict on my 1600 that is soon to be sold. I was going to carry these over onto my new 1776 engine but have had an offer for them to go with the engine. Is anyone running a 1776 with dell frd 36"s that can comment? Would these be considered an upgrade or would you be looking at something else? Thanks guys

I think FRDs are 34, DRLAs are 36. Either would work on a 1776, 36's would be better :)

Ah,I've not seen those. They are for Type 4 engine so the kit won't be a straight fit

Loosing the plot here, not sure how I overlooked the large bold black type 4 description!!! I will check out the Drla

Woah double the cost!! Are they worth it though? From the little research I've done they give better low down power making for a torquier bottom to mid range. Think I will edit the title so I get some replies!!

£535 + here.

The interest rate changes have hit these prices!

Dell 36's DRLA are nice carbs for a 1776, as are the 34 Ict's.
I built a 1776 with stock cam and port work on the heads, a 4 to1 stainless and dual 34's. It made 73 bhp at the crank and 90% of the torque was available at 2000 rpm. Very responsive at the throttle.
If you looking for more power, the 36's will def make, but the cam and heads have to be matched too in order to get the most of it.

Well I bought the one's that Clem put a link up for, cheers for that Clem :party0041: Got some csp manifolds and a csp hex bar linkage from euro carb to go with them. I ended up deciding on a new engine instead of a pro built conversion and went for one of the Heritage ssp 1776, the guy's at heritage said they will be a good match so fingers crossed.

I've had a few sets off him now , he supplies excellent carbs , you won't be disappointed :)
