disc brake spindles

just need to compare a dimension on early and late disc brake spindles.
below is a late spindle showing the dimension i,m after.

if anyone has an early spindle to hand and can help that would be of great help. the late spindle "offset"
is approx 15mm.

Sorry Mark, I wasn't able to get down there last night. I will tonight though, but something just crossed my mind when I reread your OP. Just to clarify, the spindles I have off the bus at the moment are drum break spindles, is that what you are after? If not, I have discs on my bus at the moment which I should be able to get off in no time at all, but I don't know if they are the 72 or 73+ ones (I think I have those dates right).

It's 7-10mm, it varies.

this might help - it's in inches - its to get 71 calipers on drum spindles...
