So how come you cant get mudflaps with 1971 written on them but you can get all the other years for early bays? are we being discriminated against??

I guess because its the year the rot set in ... with flared rear arches and small 5 stud pattern :( they will always be seen as the thin end of the crossover wedge .....

Only joking  I have no idea  :? :msn4:

yeah but we have better brakes
The downside is we also have 1 year only brakes

Also asked the question about the mud flaps as i would love a pair but hens teeth seem to spring to mind, only ever seen 1 pair before on someones van but couldn't find the owner to ask him/ her

why don't you speak to ant, ask him to get some templates made up (from uber cool?) then he can paint onto blank mudflaps. Sorted for all years....

Simple really, it's painfully obvious already that it's a 1971!!! :D Prolly can't find 72 mudflaps either.

Not really. ALL front brake parts from '72 vans fit the same afaik. The only difference between '71 and '72 brakes is an extra bleed nipple on the '72 brake calipers...
