at first I thought it was a converted panel..but the windows are recessed, they look an odd shape.
It may be the camera angle, or that there isnt a quarterlight?

Ive just replaced the window rubbers on mine, they look the same as this. Didn't notice they had curved glass

Always learning :)

late bay bumpers early vents? weird. the posts look tapered from the swage line to the roof in those images. Probably camera trickery. Still cant figure out why someone would do to the trouble of fitting the deformation panel and those ugly bumpers.

I don`t think it`s a panel as the glass is set back inside the exterior line,,if it was a panel, I`d expect the glass to sit flush with the outside skin and not recessed back in. Posts look a bit :? :? or like said ^^^ could be camera tom foolery, but looks the same from both angles,,,, ???? If it was on E Bay, I`m sure it would be an extremely rare and sought after model,,,

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,, I`ll have it if no one wants it !! :msn4:  :msn4:

I would defo be more concerned about the bumpers tbh, that would need further investigation. More photos of your choice would reveal any camera trickery or photoshop treats ;)

I just had a thought    Is it possible that the middle glass is the same as the rear side glass with that rearmost corner raked cause that`s how it looks, and the centre window frame is actually a rear one grafted in !!

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,

They look odd because normally at least one of them would have opening quarters in them and this has none fitted,

defo not a converted pannel. but it doeslook odd just the anglei recon.

froggy, only converted pannels have curved glass buses have flat glass

The gap between the top of the window and gutter looks too big and I think they should line up with the passenger door height ??

it looks to me, like a panel van that has had tailgate windows and frames welded into the sides.

That's what I was thinking looking at the shape of them.

They might have been replaced at some point with straight glass instead of the curved glass usually fitted

Proper window buses have flat glass, the van conversions have curved glass. :)

Edit: just noticed I got beaten to it

looks weird as to the early bay front panel but the late bay bumpers as to the windows maybe reccessed due to rubbers anyway looks striaght rock on

too many stellas already

john and bex

This is the parts bus I have , it had all 4 rear side windows solid with no vents , needless to say they sold right away to a guy doing a custom bus , I guess they are not too common. Don't have better pictures sorry.

Not necessarily, both my old '72 Devon and the current nail don't have opening quarters. All lot of UK buses didn't along with fixed cab door quarterlights.

i think you're right..the top of the window tapers the same as a rear door glass.
