Door card trimming

hi guys

I am coming towards the end of my dormobile restoration and am currently doing the interior.

I've bought some vinyl to cover all the door cards but am not sure what to use underneath for padding.

What can you guys recommend and where can i get some?

I would use 3mm scrim.....
