Door escutcheons for early bay (1970 and above?)

Just bought these, they look great but don't fit my 1969 early bay ;-( I suspect they are for 1970+ if someone could confirm that would be great. I think they also fit early bugs and type 3s.

There is one black one which is for an early bay, but I need two chrome ones ;-( Just spotted that VWHeritage now stock them at £18 each without the plastic inserts or something like that.
