Got the engine out at the moment with plans to tart up the tinware etc.
My fan nut is so tight that I've mangled the inner pulley on the dynamo. I was going to change that to chrome anyway so it's no big deal.

Now the pulley is off the only other way I can think to get the fan nut off is lock two nuts together on the thread.
Any idea what thread it is? It's not M12.

Cheers!!

Do you have access to an air gun? Hold the fan between your knees and a blast of the air gun will shock it off.

Are you sure about a chrome dynamo pulley?

It's not the looks so much as the quality- They have a nasty habit of, well, exploding!

Original pulley chromed would be better, but i'm unsure about the slip that you'd get from chrome, i'm sure it won't help things as such.
