The generator light has been flickering recently and now is on all the time. Its a suitcase motor so carbs and covers off to get at the alternator. Removing the right carb revealed a not connected black wire which I labelled as off the rectifier when I had the engine out about 400miles ago. Oddly the rebuild was charging ok for about 300 miles.
Reconnecting and rebuilding still have the generator light on.
So the question is what have I cooked, the rectifier or the alternator, or both?
