Empi Quick Shift v Scat Dragfast

Would be interested to hear from people with either the EMPI or the SCAT. I prefer the look of the EMPI simpler (like me) but is the SCAT really much better to use?

I had a SCAT in my old baja and it was lovely, when i have the funds i will get one for the bus.
I test drove a bus with an EMPI and didn't like the ring pull for reverse lock out a T bar is much easier to use.

iv just junked my empi for a scat.much better and it doesnt collide with the the hand brake lever when you engage 1st! got mine from vw speedshop,much cheaper than anybody else.

My scat works like a dream. Never used an EMPI but can't see how it could improve on the scat. I think you've got your answer....

Out of interest, is the handle removeable? Can I replace it with my trusty pool ball gear knob?

yes the handle screws on.
