Hi,

I've got my engine out at the moment to give it a tidy up and was wondering what type of paint has been used successfully for the carb manifold, heat exchangers and exhaust. All parts are stock for a 1600sp.

Thanks,

Mark

Get some hi-temp exhaust specific paint for the heaters and exhaust. It may well rust through as it burns off, but its flat paint that can be reapplied as required once done.
Ive only ever painted an inley manifold once, just the upper part on a standard twin port engine and used smoothrite which was fine. They look nice just cleaned up though as they are alloy and dont need painting as such.
