thinking of putting a thurrock 1914cc engine in the bus from the engine shop with twin 44 idf's ( fed by a facet fuel pump ) and pertronix II electronic ignition, is this a bit of an overkill and what will i be looking at cooling wise?

I would have an external oil cooler and a fan. But each to their own :)

091 Gearbox,

External Oil Filter and remote cooler (with FAN) and you'll be rocking and rolling,

That 1915cc won't be overkill as it will have crap heads and a lazy cam in it!!! ;)

Thats a valid point, getting a decent cam and working the heads are major power gainers in any engine.
When me and my dad did our bmw, getting a ported and polished head and a cam kit really got the power up.
Its 2.3L straight 6, but ticks over like a V8 :D

Well it did, head gasket went and filled bore with coolant
