Ever wondered how much fuel left when on R?

I know the fuel gauge on mine will go down to probably 5mm below the R and keep going... R is meant to be 'reserve' isn't it? :shock:

The bridge bounces and the bus was being shaken about, so it wasn't the most enjoyable 20mins I had in the bus :lol: thanks for the offer Karl, but I rang Green Flag and within 15mins a guy turned up and towed me to Avonmouth filling station 8) Now that's service for you, all included in my Natwest currant account

Wig I was on my own but had the family been with me I don't know what would have been safer, stood on the hard shoulder or in the bus :shock:

i opt for the non-working fuel gauge - that way i never get complacent.

it does mean tho that i spend alot of the time in fear - but it would mean replacing my fuel tank and sender to match the gauge i am running lol.

I have a pathological OCD type fear of running out of petrol and start looking for filling stations when I get down to a quarter tank. :lol:

That seems to come round quickly for me, the 1st half a tank goes real quick then the last quarter relatively slowly, then R is empty :lol:

I emptied the tank in November when I fitted the electric fuel pump and what came out then was clear, now I got two filters and they're clear too 8)

I got rid of a bit more rust mate, it's a drip drip process :lol:
