Fitting a dash clock

Quick question:

Which would be the best fuse to use in the fusebox to fit an original vw dash clock?
Plus would it be an idea to have an in-line fuse as well just in case?

best fuse is no 12 as perm live and tapped from no11 the main batt feed , and no need for in line fuse as you are coming from the fuse box.

most stereos nowadays require a perm live and a switched live,

so you can use that as perm live and 1 or 2 as switched live
