I'm going back to putting in a stock oil bath filter as carb icing seem to be the problem. I've tracked down a stock filter stand and im getting round to fitting it. The old stand had residues of a metal bonding glue and does anyone recomend a good metal bonding agent as it seem a quick way to fit it rather than having to find someone to weld it in place. Thanks

I would get it welded, just imagine the mess/damage if the glue failed...oil from the filter all over the engine bay plus where the oil bath filter falls, may be into moving fan belt......not worth the grief imho. ;)

I have just done this today, I first welded on a bracket which the stand bolts to, allowing for removal when installing / removing the engine.

...which I now have to do since I dropped the distributor clamp nut into the fuel pump hole.

Somebody shoot me.

Cheers fot the advice I will get it welded. Mark at howling speedshop I will be in touch.

On another matter is there a diagram on here which shows all the pipes that attach to the oil bath filter?
