Great project with bags of potential!

For sale 1968 Westy from Alabama.
Needs to be restored and brought back to life.
It has a rough westy interior with everything apart from the fridge and stool.
No motor or trans, but I have both over here that can be installed if required?

£3k with just the trans
£4k complete with a rebuilt 1600 DP motor n used trans.

The interior panels are gone and it has non original front seats.
I will be completing the necessary rust repairs prior to sale and can fit a trans n motor

M-plate decode says the bus is an SO67 born Feb 19, 1968.
I hope to ship her over for Feb and then we'll see how good/bad it is!

Headlights, fuel tank and rear bumper sourced and installed. Wipers are inside the cab.






She's a little rough, but hell, you all know I like 'em rough!

Collecting this one on Thursday. I'll probably end up keeping it as it's a 1 year only bus!
Seems to be a bit of a theme with my aircooled past, ha!

Picked the bus up last Thursday. Missing the rear roof section!

Stripped out the interior

and cleaned up pretty nice with no major issues

underneath was nice too









Front valance is definitely not nice!

seat belt points are ok too

A fair bus overall and I'm pleased with the condition of the cargo floor and jack points/out riggers. Roof is going to take some work and someone has already started the resto a few years ago, but obviously gave up!

Been doing some work on rust repairs

Cleaned up the inside of the top hat n zinc sprayed inside and out

Got me a used front floor for a good price so got crackin!
I had to remove the red one from a front clip a mate had kicking around and what a b!tch that was!
The white one came out somewhat easier! :lol:









Offered it up and after some fettling it fitted ok.

This for sale thread is turning into a monster resto thread.
I'm having to do way more work on this one than I first thought. Oh well, in for a penny! you know the rest :roll:
