one for the brave....
I have a JK outdoor cover which ive used a few times (the silver brathable type with zipped doors) it was in good used condition....

Unfortunatly I have stored it in my barn and when i got it out last week I find that the rats have been nesting in it......

The cover itself would be usable BUT it has holes in it - and I dont mean small tears i mena several large 1 ft holes in it where the rats have shredded it - however i think it could be patched by sticking/sewing a bit of old tent material or something onto it or maybe just some blue tarp. its seems a shame to waste it as its mostly there and obviously tailored to fit a bay.

Another unfortunate consequence of the rats is it stinks of Rat P*ss. So you would first need to wash it thoroughly before doing any of the above!

On the whole i think it could be re-used with a couple hours messing about and could be as good as new if your handy with glue and tent material!!! - it just seems a shame to Bin it so i would rather it go to someone in need. i would guess 90% of the cover is still there and the zips etc are OK.

Frankly i have not got the inclination as I have a new rat free garage so wont need it and am still annoyed about it being ruined. so if anyone thinks they can make use of it then its free to collector. I will not post as i dont want to touch it. you can collect

Please dont expect a mint cover....this is damaged and hence free!!

Collection from near SN12 8EX (near Bath) first to respond on this thread gets it. no pm ors mails. 07500 556669 to arrange collection.

I was quite interested until I got to the rat piss bit

I think sometimes you have to just let go and throw it away. :D Doubt anybody wants to mess around with rat piss and all the bugs and germs that will go with that!

The word Bio Hazardous waste springs to mind.

However I'm like you hate throwing things away that could be used again.

By the way not having a go at you, just made me chuckle as its the sort of thing I woud do and the wife would just have binned it!

I also doubt people want to mess about with it...thats why its free...i should perhaps have made it clearer....its already poised on the bin ready to go....just thought i would ask before i bin in case theres someone out there who can make use. if no takers by the weekend itll be gone to landfill heaven unless anyone knows of a rat sanctuary i could donate it to for bedding.

the potential for Weils disease will / should deter everyone, sorry I do advocate recycling but as said at times theres no real alternative......

Leptospirosis will kill..........

So long as you don't grow rice or go swimming in it the danger does not seem too high.
When dried there is little risk.
Anyone fancy bring it up to Volksworld for me?
I can get the wife to sew it up!!!!! (No risk to me there!)
cheers Paul

All it requires is contact with dirt that retains some moisture that itself has been in contact with the bodily fluids of the deseased carrier, urine , blood, semen spital etc......

But hey fill yer boots....

Uber Cool ;)
