Just arrived is a 1971 T2 tintop Deluxe from California.
We usually Register/MOT these vehicles but theres been a delay with moving into our new premises and with a 71 westfalia on the way next week, i need to make space quick.....
This bus is 100% solid as to be expected for an import from California and it will not need much work for the MOT.
If being picky there is a small hole in the drivers footwell and also in the battery tray but these panels are not rusty so will be a very simple repair. We can do the welding for the new buyer if needed.
The paintwork still has a good shine but its been done sometime ago and is showing its age.
The 1600 engine is a runner but the ignition system is in need of an overhaul which we are in the process of doing for the new owner.
I have all the paperwork needed to register the bus once MOT'd and can help the new owner should they need it.
UPDATE
While replacing one of the spark plugs it has been found a helicoil has been used to repair a cross threaded spark plug hole. This has failed leaving half the helicoil still in the hole (not in the chamber)
May be possible to sort with engine in situ but would recommend a new head so the problem doesn't happen again.
