Just stripped my westys water tank out as we have not had van long.

Everything seams to work i.e. tap, drain valve etc, but I have a leak on the elbow joint at the bottom side of the tank that feeds
the tap.

Any suggestions on how to fix, the tank seams to be made of the plastic that does not take to any kind of glue!

Wondered wether to remove the elbow and seal the hole and then insert the pipe at the top of tank through a grommet.

Any help greatly appreciated .

a small butane heat torch will melt the plastic and let it reform. It will go quite liquid, but did seal up nice. (I had fixed one using this method, only to drop it - it broke into lots of small pieces....)

Try a soldering iron.............smooth the plastic melted bit over the hole etc.
Just a thought. I have done it before and it did work.

Thanks gentlemen

Getting it hot does the trick.

Have a good summer.
