Just dropped this down off the lift for the first time... 4" narrowed beam, 2 notches in the rear with notched springplates and gas burners reps.
Before... way too high

Great work, much better now :D 8)

They are 5x112 replicas and went straight on. Don't know whether the offset is different on different repros, but they were a pretty tight fit under the rear arches, especially as '71's have the late rear arches. For reference the tyres are 175/55/15 front and 185/55/15 rear all Continentals.
It's new owner Jim Bamber drove away in it about half an hour ago, will post more pics soon.

'scuse my ignorance in narrowed beams...
Do they just bolt straight in without any chassis mods etc?

No, you don't need chassis mods. The original shock towers are about 1.5-2" thick per side, so you use thinner 8-10mm laser cut shock towers (which I get made) and can narrow the beam upto 4.5". There is a fair bit of engineering involved in fitting, but dropping it off the lift/jack makes it all worthwhile..
Here are a couple more pics for those interested. I didn't have time to go to my usual seafront spot, but hey.

Looks awesome!
Would you supply said laser cut shock towers for us DIYers.
150 quid from cool air seems a lot to me....

Hi `68 only loving that bus mate , how much does it cost to do what you done to that Orange bus

Sweet! Tell me does the ride get harder when you narrow the beam? I would like to do this but am worried about ride quality

Grazy, the beam etc including fitting, narrowing lower shock mounts, etc is around £800. Lowering the back 2 splines inc notching springplates is £125. The wheels and tyres came out around £650. Not cheap, but rides nice and looks GREAT :D

Dubberdaz, it does increase the springing rate, but is not rock solid at the height you see. There is another 3"+ downward travel in the adjusters. Obviously on a bay, the lower you go, the more acute the angle of the ball joints, so this can cause problems. This is why I'm putting a drop spindle split beam in my 68.

Speaking of which.. I picked it up yesterday from Felixstowe. It turned into a 16 hour trip, due to track rods being bent so it toes out by a mile and is waaay too unsafe to drive. I waited 6 hours for the AA and got home at 2 this morning.. here's some pics:
