How does everyone set theirs up?

Do you just take it to the garage to get it done, or is there a simple way of doing it to a reasonable degree of accuracy?

infact .. how much difference does it make!

If you set them as per the book they should be right. They normally only need adjusting if there is something non stock or slightly distorted.

Normal procedure it to set them as stock and then have the camber checked when the vehicle is finished just to make sure.

hay triky
mine is set to the book but my van is well low should i get it checked you think :?:

Well thats a good question.

Basically, because the front suspension is trailing arm, then if the camber is correct at stock height it sould remain correct as its lowered (assuming the components are all stock).

If on the other hand the beam has been modified or narrowed then its vital to have it checked.

Seeing as the cost of a check is minimal I would say if in doubt get it checked.

.. couldn't see anything in the Haynes or Muir manual about setting the camber ..

.. shouldn't be to difficult tho when the bus is sat on the floor ( yeah when ..)

.. is it obvious or should they sit with zero camber, ie vertical , when stood unladen or slightly tucked in to allow for load ..
