I've got a futbus kit on mine. Not sure they are still about, could prove interesting when something needs replacing :? .

Its all Golf parts from memory Jeremy and I have their kit on mine, pound for pond it was a lot better than the CSP kit at the time (vented discs vs solid discs etc etc). I think they now trade as something else from a different location in Bath, I think sparkywig will know the answer as he's from those parts :)

How much are these futbus kits ? Do they include callipers or do you source those yourself ?

The FutBus kit came complete with everything you need to fit, other than brake fluid.
I spoke to Dave last week on another matter, I don't know if they're still trading as FutBus though. I have no worry about spares as the discs are A Class Mercedes and the callipers are Mk3 Golf.
I never changed the master cylinder either.

It's says £810 including vat , £675 excluding vat?

Apologies, just had another look and you are right, not sure how they can offer it at that price as £950 is what everyone else charges, don't know why the earlier one is so much more.

There are cheaper options out there such as 944 front discs and pads and an adaptor bracket, although if you plan to lower I know where you can get dropped spindles where 944 calipers bolt straight onto :)

Sorry to interrupt the thread however does anyone know about rears? I was wondering are creative engineering the only "off the shelf" option for rear disk setup?

Want to go full disks all the way around

I'd like that too stu 8) when funds allow

One downside for rear disc brakes for you stu, think of the extra cleaning because of brake dust from discs compared to drums on your new lovely alloys :msn4:

On the master cylinder, it is a good idea to take out the one way valves, as disks benefit from being able to push a bit of fluid back into the mc when you take your foot off the pedal. The clearances are such that the spring push back to avoid unnessessary wear of the pads and disks

I was going to ask if there was anything that needed doing to accept the discs conversion

Cheers mate 8)

I've just had a csp front disc kit fitted - can't comment on how easy it is to fit because, like Stu, Dean did mine.

What I can say is that it pulls up really nice - 4 up, fully loaded with a trailer. Admittedly I never tried that with the drums, but there was also good reason not to!

Not cheap, but quality looks really good - I got mine through Machine7, ordered on Thursday, delivered, from Germany, on Tuesday, despite it being May Day.

Chuffed

Really Really Important and so often missed!

Have you a picture of items to be removed, I wouldn't want to take the wrong bits out being a bit of a novice.

It has Wilwood 4pot calipers and BIG drilled and vented discs.....

It s stops my FULLY LOADED bus "On a Dime" as they say :)

This is the kit I want, does it add any track width??
