Front quarter light problem

Got a problem. Bought some new seals for the front quarter light. Drilled out the rivet to separate the glass from the frame and remove the old seal. Put in the new one, re-riveted but can't get the two parts back together. Did the other side and all was fine so I know the seals are good. They're good German ones so should be.

Not sure what else to do. Sat there for hours but can't make any headway.

Any ideas?

Post up some photos of the problem, i have just fitted new seals to mine so may be able to help you mate
