I have been tipped the wink that friends of mine will be advertising their 1970 Bay Westfalia for sale in the next few days, so I thought I would post up some "insider info" for you

It has approk 55,000km from new (yes, thats right 34'500 miles!!!!)
1600 Engine
Itallian Import with the Hella side indicators
In Blue
Westfalia conversion (already said that)
TOTALLY RUST FREE & NEVER WELDED - This is the cleanest Early Bay Camper I have ever seen, and the 2nd Cleanest Bay I have ever seen (this being a Bay late Panel van with 78miles on the clock). There are a few minor blemishes on the ORIGINAL & UNTOUCHED paintwork, but nothing to worry about - you would never get to be 39 years ond without a blemish or two!

I dont have any photo's yet, nor much more information at the moment, but as soon as I do I will post it on here.

I would think the price will be in the order of £14,000

It will be at Broghton Breeze this weekend if you want to take a look

did they get it from terry's beetles? they had a gorgeous italian one for sale with those details (similar mileage) a while ago.

Yes, It is the same camper.
Photos will be with me soon - and I think they will speak for themselves.

The "M" plate date has decoded as 6th Jan 1970

ah, as i said i thought it was gorgeous at the time .... and almost went to see it. it was a bit out of my price range though, having said that i have now actually spent more or less the same along the way with mine. just a bit at a time.

Just a few of the original photos they got when buying the van - the recent ones will be up as soon as I can get them

Since my friends have had the van Terrys Beetle Services has fitted 2 rear 3-point seat-belts, Waxoyl treatment to the underneath, a leisure battery has also been fitted together with a split charge realy.

Updated photos are here at last and really speak for them selves as far as quality of this vehicle is concerned
