What do you think would look best on an early bay. 15" rims or 16"?

I think genuine 16" with a 36et should fit on all four corners even with adaptors but repro 15" may be a fair bit cheaper.

If ya wanna go low it will have to be 15's

I disagree, 16's can work if you are prepared to put in the effort to make them work!

Custom made caliper brackets and other bits an bobs to run porsche brakes up front,

Modified and Turned down rear hubs to run no adapters at the rear and to be able to fit OG Porsche centre caps

I am not sure of the offset but mark deffo's runs 16" fuchs on his bay!

Ok I didnt try hard enough with mine then, they were rubbing the front arches and would have needed tubbing so they had to go, running 15" flat 4's now and well happy, no tubbing and no rubbing ! the brakes make no difference at all, i'm running Porker kit front and back.

Nice one Alex,
I've been looking for pics of Marks bus because that is the look I want. I wondered if his were 16's.
Mine is a beige deluxe too. It was at Mopars at Brooklands a couple of years ago when you were there.

Do you know if he has 6J or 7J on the back.
I've been measuring up and 7js with a 23et wont fit with adapters unless I've measured wrong but 6J with 36et will.

Need to save some pennies.

Hey Fella,

I remember the day and your bus well, what awesome weather,

Ta Da

I am pretty sure they are 7J at the rear and 6j at the front, You can purchase rear drums that are already drilled to porsche pattern, saves running adapters, but then the centre cap won't fit on the wheel and the only answer to this is lots of pissing about milling things down to size.

Good Luck with it all, and if you need anymore pics have a look at the album in the facebook page:

Cheers Alex,

It was really hot that day wasn't it?

I'm pleased to say that since you took that pic I have lowered the van and fixed the front panel. Still loads to do though.
I won't rest until it looks as good as Marks. Well maybe nearly as good.
