Hi,
I get a smell of petrol fumes after filling up - would I be right in assuming it's a cracked fuel filler hose?
(all fuel lines / hoses replaced and sound)

If so, does anyone know who supplies fuel filler hose for a 71 bay?

Heritage & Machine 7 only list 72 onwards...

Ta. :)

I phoned this company regarding the fuel hose and they measured the external diameter for me. It would have been too big to fit on the end of my US '69 fuel filler neck and go into the hole to lock the fuel neck in place. This extra size is due to it not being braided hence the larger wall is required. I ended up getting some from a local specialist who had braided pipe hence only needing a thinner (2/3mm) wall.

I don't know of the differences on fuel neck sizes but know I had trouble getting the correct size for my bus.

Hope this helps

Check the external diameter of the fuel pipe as well mate

I didn't initially and have been left with some slightly oversize pipe.

 mine is on the van done up and filled up,it was a tight fit but not that tight

I could have got the new pipe on but I would have needed to file away and open out the filler neck - did not fancy that

Pipe arrived today from http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/product_in" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ... 2legpuog71

looks spot on although I haven't tryed it yet will let you know :) .
I ordered 500mm to compensate for the bend on a 72 "think Ive over done it a bit  my old pipe looked ok but when you pressed it the internal part was full of cracks  ....Dave

Sorry to resurrect this thread from the dead, but I'm just getting round to pulling the engine to do this job, and went to the site above to buy the hose...
It's 45p per cm, which makes 180cm £162 quid ex vat!

Then I figured 180 cm is over 5 feet!

Presumably what I need is 180mm or 18cm?

Can someone confirm this for me please?
