Fuel sender unit

Hi guys,

Is it possible to use a bettle fuel sender unit in my bus as they both have the same bolt hole pattern and the bettle one is cheaper and maybe more reliable?

I don't think they're compatible with the bus gauge.

If they have the same part number, you could probably interchange them. If they don't, there's a reason why VW made two different models.

If you mean the lever arm type sender, I don't think they work with the bus gauge.

The genuine VDO ones for bus are best, but they've gone up a bit since I bought mine in 2019 for £70!

I saw something on one of the many FB groups where someone had done this and it worked but can't remember where I saw it and you really shouldn't believe everything you read on FB
