Garage recommendations?

Just bought a 68 dormobile and looking for someone in SE London / Kent area to do some work on it - any recommendations appreciated, lots of bad feedback out there ... Cheers!

Hello bud and welcome to the forum. I`m over the other side of the country in Bristol so don`t know too many peeps over your side. Might be some local to you on tomorrow but a lot of the guys are off looking at shows etc on Sunday. On Monday there`ll be loads on here and we`ll pop this one back up to the top and see who`s recommended over your way by the locals :mrgreen:

You might try pm ing slammedkustom, hes given up the garage but may be taking on stuff, what I will say though he wont cut corners and hes cheap for the quality of work he produces.

I have used T2D too, would recommend too. Unfortunately they are a bit too far away for me, but again now I have discovered autotechniks.

If it's bodywork related I'd recommend Darren and Tony at Lust For Rust, Laddingford (a few miles outside Maidstone). They don't really do much mechanical work. Nice guys.

They did some work on my bus a few months back and I've got my beetle lined up for a visit. They get pretty booked up though, I've got to wait til 2012 and I've already been waiting 6 weeks

+1 for mechanical work especially engines. The place in Croydon is Brickfield Autos, Phil Norman, 020 8689 8527, I recommend for bodywork. The autotechnic boys use him too for paintwork.

+ another, I've used both shops mentioned above and can't sing there prasies loud enough.

Autotechniks are the TYPE 2 Performance specialists, everyone else is just playing at it Whether it be stock or balls out madness in a bay these guys know how to get it driving and performing like you'd never expect possible.

I also Agree Phil @ Brickfield Auto's is your man for bodywork and paint, not only is it a 1/4 mile from my front door but Phil has a real talent when it comes to show winning paint and restorations as well as being a super nice gent (he took my bus in during the croydon riots) Tell him Jesus sent you
