:?: I have just met another true gent and VW Officianado down near Wimborne in Dorset. You get him on here sometimes as `Rusty' but in real life his name is Simon. He is doing some great restos down there and tickling things with his spray gun / wand ;) Very nice. I went down to see him as I fancied a late bay Devon roof, Think they`re one of the neatest I`ve seen. Good deal done and it`s home with me now  But when he took me for a wander around the place  How much stuff has he got  Got myself some of those little panels for in behind the rear bumper as well  He got some proper bumper irons as well, I should have got them while I was down there, so put a pair to one side for me Si, pick em up Okt fest ?? OK? But if you`re after hard to get parts,,,,, give him a ring,,,, don`t pm him cause he`s as big a pleb on computers as me  What a mine of information as well,, but I still can`t get over the parts, parts for every VW ever conceived and he`s got them stacked everywhere !! 8) .. NOS VW

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,,,I`ve just met Aladdin,,,,,, 8)

Well now that's just plain rude!

you come all the way to wimborne and don't come in for a brew! That's it next time I see you I'm going to force you to drink some of our home made cider! 8) 8)

you're right about Si great guy just don't give him a computer.

Sparky (just round the corner from NOS).

So I been down to Wimborne and didn`t call in to see anyone unfortunately, but did a heck of a lot of site seeing in the morning :D All right ,,,,,,,,,, yes I got lost,,, but you do see a lot of countryside while you is lost. Saw a few busses about as well got a few waves and so on. Who was the guy in the land rover ????? He shoved his thumbs up so far out of his ride,,, I thought he was trying to get out ! A couple of them bays and a few 25 s as well. It`s actually just a great place to go for a wander around,, some wicked houses about down there including one of the grooviest thatched cottages you`ll ever see ,,,,,,,,Gaunts cottage I think it was called :D That yard he has (Rusty) is pretty wicked as well and I`m never going back there or I`ll spend too much :msn4: Still can`t get over his enthusiasm for all things VW. It was actually better than a trip to the pub (well almost) . So I got a late bay pop top roof and it`s the exact year Devon that I wanted, got all the gear with it as well. It has two vents at the rear and luckily it`s just two because that`s the only thing I don`t like about these pop tops  , I think they are hideous, anyone got any ideas of a suitable replacement ?? Looks like two mushroom shaped warts on it, so any ideas greatly and warmly received :D . Now Simo,,, I thought you was a nice dude :? you know i can`t do photos unless I got someone here to help me  But it`s white with a green shading, maybe more green than white (mould) Also got a pretty naff ply / hardboard type ceiling / lining in it that will be coming out in the next 30mins then we can sort out how to make it fit  :? Even though this is going onto a roof panel that had a Devon fitted (72) IT DON`T FIT !!! So Ozziedog will need to do a bit of massaging  So ideas wanted for a new bellows as well,, as I don`t like the colour , and something to replace those two hemorrhoid's ;)

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,, Did I think it would be a straight fit ???? I was,,, hoping ! ;)

Hey Rusty,,,,,,,,,,, we got overlapped there  I`ll get someone to take some photos for me when we`re done :D Won`t even get to have a serious look till the weekend,, might see you at the Oktoberfest ????

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,, Don`t let me in your yard again !!!!!!!!! ;)

Hey Senor Toffo,, it`ll be superb when I has finished with it, but at the moment it suits my bus a treat, it`s all mouldy and it don`t fit and it`s held on with bungee s

Yes you are right it`s off of a 78 I think, no hissing I`m afraid not even from the coven or the Stella, a fair old bit of pinging though, they had F.G.B. springs in, and I thought they`d be regular springs or was hoping for possibly gas struts. Nearly had me fingys off with the last screw (that weren`t meant to sound like that) How well do some of you dudes know me ?????????? Bit embarrassing that I keep repeating myself and talking about the same stuff, must be my age,, bit like when you go to your grans and you get the same story every Sunday for five years or more

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,, Guess where I went today ????? ;)

Hey Deano,, that`s the one I got, it`s on my bus right now :D mould and all  Not a particularly brill photo of it but sat down it`s as cool as 8)
