Headlight Switches

After having a few problems with my headlight switch (now solved fortunately)I wanted to see if anyone could provide some advice.

I bought a replacement switch for the correct model of bus (1970) from Just Kampers

However the one that was actually fitted in my bus was a earlier model (it seems I have earlier style wiring connections???)

(The photo of the part is from an american website, and I'd rather not pay international shipping for such a small item)

This is now posing a problem as I have not been able to find anyone selling the second model (I've tried all the usual suspects) and I don't want to have this same problem if the switch goes again (I had to fit a 'very' second hand part)



Please help!

I've had a look in my OG parts catalogue and have found,

311 941 531 A - is for bays from birth upto and including 1970 model year,

211 941 531 - is for 1971 model year on

211 941 531 A - is for 1971 model year on with M24 (sealed beam headlights)

So you need the top one, I entered that part number in VWH Classic Parts search and got a hit, £24.44
