Hi de ho campers :msn4:

The names Kank vw's are my world, some of you may know me from other vw sites

I have a early bay dormobile 1971 (but I think it was built in 70) anyway heres a pic of my baby (I say mine it's really my partners)

This is my second early bay the first went to someone else before I finished it I do tend to collect them I also have a couple of other vw's and if ya like I'll post a few pic of them.

I know I should cut down ! too much spending and no money :lol:

Kank is a 71 beetle I've been rebuild him for around 6 years now I really would love him to be a race bug but I can't find a good shell, the chassis is fully rebuilt now, I got a whole other beetle just for the shell only to find that was rotten and welded to the chassis :roll: I should know better

Even my early bay needs work but I guess Vw's are a never ending project!

I'll start a thread on the early bay when I get started on it

I'm in Bristol tho not leeds, I got that bay off a mate as he has a few too and he does not have the time to restore them, so I'm helping him and another mate rebuild his cross over rag top, I have pic's of that too but it's a big of a big project.(I'm not a trader I just like welding vw's)

If it's ok with the mod I have another mate that is selling a early bay soon so I'll list it on here for him but it's a real good one fully restore to a very high standard (not by me I might add)

Hi I can't take credit for that van I got it as it stands (well I've changed the front seats for red leather ones and added little bits to it) But I got it off a guy in my club called Slug (he now has an early westie bay ), it did have the logo on both side but the sliding door was changed for one with a window in it, once I've repainted the van I will be adding the logo again.

And the early bay from last weekend when it decided not to play game and broke down :roll: a quick fix got me home again but the dyno is dead and I think I have a engine fault as well so it's rebuild time.

I'm having the top repainted white and the bumpers done to match, its a rhd uk model with the cooker still under the passanger seat, the interior has been remade at some point so I will be remaking it again as near as standard as I can the R+R is a blue bird customs one and is very good so that will stay, other then that I plan on lowering it very slightly and maybe changing the wheels to some porsche ones I have... BUT I'm not going to slam it.
